Here are a few recent thumbnail color sketches. Some of these paintings you might recognize; some are for my upcoming show at Thinkspace.
There's something about the tiny size and the color blocking that make me happy... I'm glad to have at least these little pieces once the larger painting is gone....

I'm wondering if you've sold a painting that you've gotten attached to? Do you miss it? To not physically have a painting, something you worked so hard on and put so much personal thought into must be hard. I'd love to see your work in person. Hopefully I can make it to one of your shows. (with 3 kids in tow).

I'll admit, sometimes it's tough, because when I work on a piece I do feel like I'm 'there' to a certain extent. When I'm putting a show together, I try to take a "foster home" approach to the work, that it's never going to be mine, I'm just letting it visit for a while, and that makes things much easier.
