gouache mini on illustration board, 1.5" x 2.5 in. click for details. The hardest to do were his closed eye & head hairs-- I waited in between breaths because my hands were too shaky otherwise.
I love gouache. It's so beautiful... the color just punches even at such a tiny size....

A scary and yet lovely piece.
How is gouache different from ecoline (if you know it). Is it oil or water based?
I could google it but thought it would be nicer to "talk" about it.
I really like your illustrations
Amazing!
You must have wonderful eyesight!

Zarah: I actually have never heard of ecoline. It's water based, basically just like watercolors except with a chalky, matte opaqueness. Thanks!
Thanks, Aurora!
