imaginary friend
4.75 x 6.75 gouache on illustration board.
As mentioned, this is the second of those flu-influenced paintings. I was so surprised by the color direction on this piece, when I first sketched around this character I had a totally different feel in mind...
At any rate, here is a self-satisfied group of ne'er-do-wells lazing around in their (imaginary) chickeny-meaty friend. (He's wearing a pair of shoes that I just purchased for myself, as a matter of fact.)

oh i know the feeling!
i have had a horrible mucky flu too!
it has slowed me down a whole lot but i finally got my new hobgoblins up today!
weee!

oh yes, I saw one of the new ones up, good work! It's weird, quite a few people across the country that I've talked to have succumbed to this flu, it's a doozie. Well, here's to stronger immune systems the next time it comes around, eh?
